De Nachtuilen Guest House is situated in the tourist corridor of Upington, the river city of the Green Kalahari. Here you are surrounded by the artistic side of town with Coffee shops and Art Galleries, then not far away you can experience the freshness of nature with the mighty Orange River and enjoy our local wine routes.

Upington is rich in history, culture and adventure.The gateway to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Augrabies National Park, the flowers of Namaqualand and home to one of the largest wine cellars in South Africa, Orange River Cellars. This Cellar offers an extensive range of dry white wine, natural sweet and dry red wine as well as desert wines which can be enjoyed on any occasion. Game drives and hiking trails are only a few kilometers away and for the more adventurous type there are many 4×4 routes to choose from. Upington is not only home to the beautiful green fields on the banks of the mighty Orange but surrounded by animal and game farming. Hunting is also very popular during our frosty winters.
